According to Theodore J. Cohen: Not a day goes by without
new revelations regarding confirmed and alleged cases of insider trading on
Wall Street. The case du jour involves Steven A. Cohen (no relation to the
author), the billionaire founder of SAC and one of the leading names in the
hedge-fund industry. For years Hon. Preet Bharara, U.S. Attorney for the
Southern District of New York, has had Mr. Cohen in his sights, yet Bharara has
never found evidence of Cohen's involvement in insider trading. Not that he
hasn't tried, however. In April 2011, for example, former SAC analyst Jonathan
Hollander agreed to settle SEC allegations he traded on inside information
about a pending takeover of the Albertson's LLC grocery chain.
Now, the game may be about to change……
